I was a copywriter and then an editor in Bristol for eighteen years, writing for charities, shops, and a national newspaper, and I now teach writing to students and professionals. Good writing is mostly clear thinking plus a few habits: know who you are writing for, say one thing at a time, cut what does not help. I teach essays, emails, web copy, articles, and the small skill of editing your own draft. Bring something you have written.
